I said: "I don't believe in anything that the magicians in Brooklyn teach"...
It took 7 weeks...lol
i have only been on a couple of committee's for actual apostasy, and in one the brother never showed, and in the other, the person said they don't want to be a witness.
but in having experience as an elder and a c.o., and in reading this forum, here are my suggestions.. do not say:.
"i don't believe that the faithful and discreet slave is god's channel" - why not?

the one in thing one out is such a tightrope to walk and it takes a toll on both partners.
i think she would be so much happier without me...but she really loves me deeply.....unfortunately she also has the false hope her prayers will be answered and i will serve jah again........damm this is tough......thanks all...esp st. ann...i called you today, but no answer...did not leave message.
Yeah, oomps, I was glad to be nearby when you had your JC.... good memories... see you soon
YOu can really see why they needed to change the 1935 thing, 7/9 were not probably even born in 1935...
Why is this picture in this book? Is it to compare them with the 1st century "governing body" and attempt to establish precedent?
wilson, a pal of best-selling atheists richard.
dawkins and christopher hitchens, made the stunning announcement last month.
that he has now returned to faith by becoming a follower of jesus.
It might be nice to talk to an imaginary friend when I am alone, but thinking that the world is nicer if there was a god does not make god exist.
the case for god:.
the "big bang" argument for god:.
the argument for god from evil:.
Why doesn't god just come out and proclaim his existence? Why do we need a case for it?
...at the next assembly.
i've heard from various sorces that the gb are planning on making it off limits, like they have already done for myspace.
has anyone else heard this?
They have already spoken in a public magazine last year about the evils of creating a "personal profile on the internet", equating it with the evils of using drugs, smoking, or [gasp] thinking about going to college!
last week i got an unsightly first-degree burn on my right arm.
when i first noticed it, i had no idea where it came from.
it first looked like a big red welt on my arm, swollen and red, but with unusually sharp edges -- i didn't even realize that it was actually a burn although a few days later it started to look more like one.
Well, I'm going tomorrow for a squish-your-boob-on-a-cold-metal-plate-o-gram
Thanks Leo for that TMI, LOL
our special guest on the six screens of the watchtower conference call, saturday may 9, 7 p.m.est will be a former jehovah's witness gilead graduate and missionary.
his electrifying you tube videos are attracting many people and exposing the watchtower for so many of their false doctrines.
you may know him better as awakened at gilead who will fill us in on what really goes on behind the "spurious" doors of gilead.so do something extraordinary this saturday, dial in to the conference call.
I will be there...
last week my wife and i were returning from a trip to the store and she starts talking about how amazing the bible is and how one should really not need to take any science classes, cause everything that one needs to know is in the bible.
she sites the creation story on how it is all in the bible that there was first water, then earth, then vegetation.........i really did not even know how to reply.
i asked her if she ever really critically read genesis for what it said, it is an interesting story, but there are many inconsistencies and even contradictions within the written word.....but of course she attributes that to the mistakes of man recording the information, since every word of the bible is of course inspired by jehovah.
Believing that the Bible teaches science is what led to a thousand years of the dark ages.
"Science is a candle in the dark"
so i've been out of jw's about a year.
i've done a lot of research since then etc.
but just in the past month or so i cannot look at wt publications.
When I find it I pass it through the shredder. It no longer makes me cringe, although I can't believe I believed the crap all my life.
I don't want to be guilty of some yearbook experience: "Man finds crinkled WT in pile of recyclables, and learns the "truth".
